Check out this timepeice video of the Circus Building. In spite of efforts to preserve the time honored building and it's special history, the city did a partial demolition in 2013, leaving only the steel frame, then voted in 2014 to remove what remained. |
Sprouts Farmers Market will open a new location in Venice on Friday, Nov. 14, at 1120 Jacaranda Blvd.
The grocery chain, known for its farmers-market style layout and focus on fresh, natural foods and wellness products, brings about 90 new jobs to the area.
Shoppers in south Sarasota County will now have a closer destination for Sprouts’ offerings, avoiding trips to Sarasota’s Pelican Plaza or downtown Links Avenue.
The grand opening weekend will feature giveaways and special promotions for local residents.

Florida’s home-insurance market is undergoing a rapid transformation.
Citizens Property Insurance Corp. is transferring more policies to private insurers through depopulation, while over a dozen new or newly approved carriers — including Stand Insurance Exchange and Praxis Reciprocal Exchange — are entering the state following 2022 reforms.
Florida regulators point to litigation reforms and stable reinsurance, paired with fewer recent storms, as factors drawing fresh capital.

Sprouts Farmers Market is set to open a new store in Venice, bringing approximately 90–93 jobs to the area, including both full- and part-time positions across every department from produce to management.
In advance of opening, in-person hiring events will be held at the Venice Community Center on Monday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 1, with a mid-day break from 12–1 p.m. each day.
Sprouts stores nationwide usually hire in a similar range, providing on-the-job training and a clear path from entry-level to supervisory roles.
