Sprouts Farmers Market will open its Venice location on Friday, Nov. 14, at 1120 Jacaranda Blvd. The specialty grocer—organized around a farmers-market style layout—emphasizes fresh produce, natural and organic groceries, vitamins and supplements, and a growing private-label assortment. The Venice opening weekend will include giveaways and special promotions, and the company has said it will staff the store with about 90+ full- and part-time positions across departments.
For shoppers before Nov. 14, the nearest Sprouts locations are in Sarasota: one at Pelican Plaza on South Tamiami Trail and another downtown on Links Avenue. The Venice store gives south Sarasota County residents a closer option while keeping the same hours and services Sprouts customers expect.
At the company level, Sprouts continues to lean into a smaller-format footprint and targeted expansion strategy. The grocer finished 2024 with roughly 440 stores nationwide and signaled plans to open at least 35 new locations during 2025, keeping growth focused on markets where demand for natural and organic foods is strong.
The chain’s private label—“Sprouts Brand”—now accounts for nearly a quarter of total sales, a sign of the retailer’s effort to differentiate on unique, attribute-driven products.
Financially, Sprouts reported approximately $7.7 billion in sales for 2024, followed by strong year-over-year growth in 2025 to date. The company is publicly traded on Nasdaq under the ticker SFM. |
