More than 100 artists take over downtown Venice for a vibrant open-air festival filled |
As autumn settles over Southwest Florida, the heart of Venice, Florida transforms into a vibrant open-air gallery. This weekend, the 37th edition of the Downtown Venice Art Festival unfolds along West Venice Avenue—a free, two-day stroll where locals and visitors discover works by 100+ nationally recognized artists. Organized by Howard Alan Events, the festival gathers a wide spectrum of media—painting, sculpture, photography, mixed-media, and more. What makes it special is the direct access: you can admire the work and talk with the creators about technique, inspiration, and commissions. Think of it as a lively convergence of craft and conversation. The venue is the charming stretch of West Venice Avenue, in the city’s historic downtown. Normally beloved for boutique shops and cafés, the avenue becomes a free-flowing art walk from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Plan your day with Downtown Venice guides and nearby eateries.
While Venice is known as the “Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World,”this festival amplifies the town’s role as an arts & culture hub, inviting residents and visitors to participate—not just observe.
The Downtown Venice Art Festival not only showcases creative talent, it strengthens downtown’s identity as more than a beach-town getaway. Art spills from galleries into the street—alive in conversation, discovery, and the weekend air.
The weather has been perfect, so go, enjoy and stroll the architecture and palms of our beautiful city. |
